What you don't know about the DJ Industry!
This is a sneaky industry. By sneaky I mean many DJ companies are "over-selling"
you their product. How can they charge $800 for their trainee's who are not allowed
to own any DJ equipment, any music, any lights? Some who make $5 to $7 an hour?
$800 for guys who have never done a wedding reception? For guys who don't know music?
Anyone who is "borrowing a sound system" is an amateur DJ.
Anyone who is "borrowing music" is an amateur DJ.
The DJ's you want are the guys who own their sound systems and music.
I sometimes scout halls in advance if I am in the area. This takes time to do. Other DJ's don't do this.
I work on the music lists sent to me for days, weeks, or months.
I chase down songs other DJ's other DJ's don't even try to find.
I am showing up with more requested songs by couples than any DJ I know of.
I am showing up with more music asked in advance than many $1200 DJ companies.
My music library is one of the finest in the state.
I upgrade my equipment every year. 3 years ago I retired a $1600 DJ rack. That hurt.
I have an extensive amount of DJ equipment that few DJ's in the state have.
I buy new lights almost every year and own over $2000 worth of lights.
Every year I buy CD's for some couples that I will never be able to use again.
Many owners just make "free" copies of CD's.
Then charge you $800 to $1200 for a music library that cost them $30 to $70 for the blank media.
I bring my $10,000 music library.
I have DJ lights no other DJ has. Even the $1200 DJ's.
3 of my lights are custom built. A 4th is priceless because you can't get them anymore.

This is a Dual Sunlight light. They no longer import these lights and
you cannot get them anymore.
I built this light and it took me months to
do. Its 6 colored Neon Tubes. It glows and is very
pretty.
